Flexitol Heel Balm Information
What is Flexitol Heel Balm?
Flexitol Heel Balm is a urea-based product that is applied to dry, cracked skin on the feet and can be used by people with diabetes. The unique formulation of 25% Urea combined with other skin-nourishing ingredients helps the body to shed the affected areas of skin, which are then replaced with skin that is healthy and nourished.
This product comes in tubes of 112g and tubs of 500g. It is suitable for use on hardened, calloused skin, providing noticeable improvement to cracks and fissures on the feet within just 1 day.
What is Flexitol Heel Balm used for?
Flexitol Heel Balm has been clinically proven to very quickly improve the condition of very dry, cracked or hardened, calloused heels and feet.
Why do people get dry, cracked feet?
It is not uncommon for people to experience dry, cracked or calloused skin on their feet at some point during their lifetime. If you are, however, concerned about the skin on your feet, the skin is infected or painful you should speak to a doctor for advice.
There are many different causes for dry, cracked heels and feet, including:
- Pressure from long periods standing up or obesity
- Shoes that do not fit properly or open-backed shoes
- A lack of vitamins, minerals and moisture
- Ageing skin
- Having damp feet for extended periods of time
- Diabetes
- Athletes foot
- Psoriasis and eczema
How does Flexitol Heel Balm work?
Urea is the active ingredient in Flexitol Heel Balm which reduces dry, cracked skin by drawing moisture into the skin cells and preventing further water loss. It also speeds up the renewal process of new healthy skin, encouraging dry skin to be shed.
Flexitol Heel Balm and diabetes
People who suffer from diabetes are more prone to health issues with their feet, including having very dry skin. This is often caused by the feet not producing as much sweat as they should.
Flexitol Heel Balm is recommended for use in people with diabetes for daily use as part of a daily foot care regime. Within 2-4 weeks of use, most people will notice a significant improvement in their skin integrity.
