Nurofen Joint & Muscular Pain 200mg medicated plaster is suitable for use in adolescents and adults over the age of 16 years to get on top of short-term pain caused by muscular strains, sprains, and benign traumas close to the joint of the upper or lower limb.
How does Nurofen Joint & Muscular Pain 200mg medicated plaster work?
Ibuprofen on its own is a pain killer and is a medication known as a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID). Pain and inflammation are caused by the body producing a chemical called prostaglandin as a result of infection or injury.
The Nurofen Joint & Muscular Pain 200mg medicated plasters work like a local anesthetic, delivering ibuprofen to the source of your pain, whether a muscular strain or sprain. Before using Nurofen medicated plaster ensure that you have read and understood the full information provided in the Patient Information Leaflet.
For use on skin only and should only be used on healthy, unbroken skin.Adolescents and adults over 16 years old: Use one medicated plaster every 24 hours.
Do not use more of this medicine than the label tells you. Do not use it on children under 16 years. If symptoms worsen or persist for longer than 5 days, consult your doctor.

Nurofen medicated plaster also contains the following :
Adhesive layer: Macrogol 400, Macrogol 20000, Levo-Menthol, Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene Block, Copolymer, Polyisobutylene, Hydrogenated Rosin Glycerol Ester, Liquid Paraffin.
Backing layer: Woven Polyethylene Terephthalate(PET)

Before using Nurofen medicated plaster please take the time to read and understand the warnings and precautions detailed in the Patient Information Leaflet.
You should not use Nurofen medicated plaster if any of the following apply to you:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, asprin or other NSAIDS or any of the ingredients in the plaster
- if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
- do not use on the eyes, mouth, lips or genital area
- for more than 5 days
- Do not apply to broken or damaged skin
You should speak to a doctor or pharmacist before using Nurofen medicated plaster if any of the following apply to you:
- You have recently taken or are currently taking any other prescribed or non-prescribed medication
- You have or have ever had asthma or suffer from allergies.
- Have gastric ulcer, bowel, heart, kidney or liver problems
- You are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or breastfeeding
This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you suffer from allergies.
Storage:
