Buy Wegovy Injection Online - UK Weight Loss Injection

Wegovy is a once-weekly injection that has been clinically proven to support weight loss. The active ingredient, semaglutide, works by copying your natural hormones responsible for controlling hunger. Because it mimics the hormones that regulate appetite, it can help you feel fuller for longer and less hungry, making you less likely to overeat.

You inject yourself once a week using the prefilled FlexTouch pen. You’ll be recommended to start at the lowest dose of 0.25mg, and your clinician will slowly increase the dose to the maximum of 2.4mg. This helps to minimise side effects as your body adjusts to the medication while also supporting your weight loss goals.

Wegovy is designed to support your weight loss efforts rather than replace them, so it works best when you use it alongside a calorie-controlled diet and more physical activity. With this optimised approach, you can lose weight and keep the weight off long-term.

About Wegovy

Wegovy is a prescription-only weight loss injection containing semaglutide. It’s made to help adults with obesity. It also helps adults who are overweight and have weight-related health problems, like high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes.

Clinical studies have shown that if you use Wegovy alongside regular exercise and a healthy diet, you could see significant weight loss. Many people keep the weight off while they continue treatment.

How Does Wegovy Work?

The active ingredient in Wegovy is semaglutide. This acts like a hormone your body produces after you eat, called GLP-1. GLP-1 works in the area of your brain that regulates appetite, and lets it know when it’s full. By mimicking this hormone, Wegovy can trick your body into thinking that you’re full and don’t need to eat. Convincing your body that you’re no longer hungry can stop you from unnecessary snacking or eating too much during your main meals. This could help you consume fewer calories and control your weight.

Wegovy may also help to reduce your food cravings, especially for high-fat foods. This can help you make healthier choices with the foods you eat and support weight control.

How To Use Wegovy

Wegovy comes in an easy-to-use FlexTouch Pen. You inject yourself once a week just under the skin (subcutaneously) into fatty areas of the body like your abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. You should always rotate injection sites to minimise the risk of irritation. Rotating two or three different sites can help prevent this.

You’ll start with a four-week course of the lowest, 0.25mg strength, before increasing through 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, then finally getting to the maximum strength of 2.4mg. You take each dose for four weeks before increasing, so your body has time to get used to the medicine.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Wegovy is semaglutide, which helps to support weight loss by reducing your appetite. The other ingredients are inactive, and include disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, phenol, sodium hydroxide/hydrochloric acid and water for injection. The inactive ingredients work together to ensure the injection is safe to use each week.

Side Effects

Like all medications, Wegovy can cause side effects. The main side effects you could experience on Wegovy include nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue or indigestion. You may only experience some of these, or you may experience none at all.

If you do get side effects, they’re likely to be mild to moderate, and typically stop happening as your body gets used to the medication. The reason you start with a low dose of Wegovy is so that your body has longer to adjust to the medication, which can help to minimise the chance of side effects.

For a full list of possible side effects and warnings, please refer to the Wegovy patient information leaflet.

Warnings

You should speak to your healthcare team before using Wegovy if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or if you are allergic to semaglutide. You should also use contraception when taking Wegovy, as it shouldn’t be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you plan to become pregnant, you should discontinue use at least two months in advance.

Serious side effects of Wegovy include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, hypoglycemia, kidney problems, and allergic reactions. If you experience symptoms of any of those conditions, speak to your healthcare team as soon as possible.
