What is Cold & Flu Nurse All-in-One?

Cold & Flu Nurse relieves symptoms commonly caused by colds and flu. This includes aches, pain, chesty cough and nasal congestion. Cold & Flu nurse also helps to lower fever and soothe a sore throat.

How to get the most out of Cold & Flu Nurse

Whilst suffering with a cold or flu, self-care is key. Getting plenty of rest, staying hydrated, and managing symptoms with over-the-counter remedies can help ease the discomfort and get you back to feeling your best as fast as possible.

How to Take Cold & Flu Nurse All-in-One Capsules

Adults, the elderly and children aged 16 years and over: Two capsules every four hours as required. Maximum 8 capsules (4 doses) in any 24 hour period.
Do not take this medicine continuously for more than 5 days without medical advice.

Cold & Flu All-in-One Capsules Ingredients

Cold and Flu Nurse All in One 500mg/100mg/6.1mg Capsules contain: Paracetamol 500 mg, Guaifenesin 100 mg and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 6.1 mg.

Other ingredients include: Maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, sodium laurilsulfate, magnesium stearate and talc. The capsule shell is made of gelatin and contains the colours quinoline yellow (E 104), indigo carmine (E 132), erythrosine (E 127) and titanium dioxide (E 171).

Cold & Flu Nurse Side Effects

Haleon Cold & Flu Nurse is usually well tolerated, however, sometimes in rare instances it can cause side effects, such as the ones below:

  • Skin rashes
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Insomnia
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhoea
  • Dysuria and urinary retention

Contact a doctor immediately if you get a combination of any of the symptoms below, which could be signs of metabolic acidosis.

  • deep, rapid, difficult breathing
  • feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting)
  • loss of appetite

Cold & Flu Nurse Warnings

This medicine contains paracetamol. Do not take any other medicines containing paracetamol whilst you are taking this medicine.

Do not take this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients.

Do not take with any other flu, cold, decongestant products or cough suppressants.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Haleon Cold and Flu Nurse All in One Capsules if you are taking any prescribed medicines.

Talk to your doctor before taking this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Ask your doctor before you take this medicine if you have:

  • Blood vessel disease such as Raynaud’s phenomenon
  • Asthma or chronic cough
  • Liver or kidney problems
  • A severe infection as this may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis.
  • Occlusive vascular disease
  • Glutathione depletion due to metabolic deficiencies
  • Taking tricyclic antidepressants or if you are taking or if you have taken in the last two weeks monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) (e.g. moclobemide) prescribed for depression
  • taking beta-blockers (e.g. atenolol)
